The American Heart Association presented its Award of Meritorious Achievement, the highest honor the organization bestows, to the National Football League. It was accepted by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell during ceremonies celebrating the founding of the American Heart Association 100 years ago on June 10, 1924.
