Germantown Community Library joins American Heart Association’s ‘Libraries with Heart’ initiative

Blood pressure education kits available now available to patrons

Erin Laabs, adult services specialist with the Germantown Community Library, checks her blood pressure during a recent launch of a new screen-and-refer blood pressure hub as part of the American Heart Association’s “Libraries with Heart” initiative. The addition of the Germantown facility brings the total number of libraries participating in southeastern Wisconsin to 18. Visitors to the library can now check their blood pressure numbers on site, as well as check out a blood pressure cuff to take home.
