Four hundred celebrated the 20th anniversary of Go Red for Women today

Caring for your heart in all ages and stages of life was the focus this year

On Friday, Nov. 8, more than 400 people gathered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Go Red for Women at the Albany Capital Center. During the Go Red for Women Luncheon, an expert panel talked about heart health in the different ages of a woman’s life. From left, Ellie Wilson, RD, of Price Chopper/Market 32; Disha Mookherjee, M.D., cardiologist at Saratoga Hospital; Suzie Mookherjee, M.D., cardiologist at Albany Medical Center; and Dr. Andalib Nawab of Ellis Medicine; and moderator Karen Carpenter Palumbo of Vanderheyden. The Go Red for Women Luncheon raised $270,000 to fight women’s No. 1 cause of death, heart disease. For information, visit www.heart.org/GoRed518.
